How to start making a difference - and help change the markets for the better:
1) Get TheSanityCheck.com out to everyone you know. Every day, propagate it on several new message boards or chat rooms or blogs. The more people understand the problem, the more likely that change will be affected. Get TheSanityCheck.com known, so more get involved, and then they get others involved, and then they get still more involved…This works. Teach people to fish.
2) Subscribe to our RSS Feeds. TheSanityCheck.com News Feed will keep you on top of all the latest news. We have information on how to subscribe to our feeds.
3) Learn the basics, and keep it simple. Hedge funds and brokers are selling stock and not delivering it, to profit from price declines – they own options or shorted shares that increase in value as prices decline. It is illegal, but pervasive, and the only way we can make the markets safe is to effect change.
4) Go to NCANS.net and read the materials there. A year’s worth of effort has gone into warehousing many of the documents and commentary germane to this struggle.
5) Contact your local newspaper, and ask their business reporter to drop by, or to contact us directly. The email is ncans.mgr@gmail.com – and we are always willing to discuss the issues with the press.
6) Contact your local talk radio program and suggest this issue as a topic. I’m available to go on the air and duke it out. Use the above email.
7) Send a letter to an elected official – see the Complaint Resources for samples. And then send it to us, to commemorate in the Wall Of Letters.
8) Spread the word about this site. The more people that have the information, the more that will use it, and the faster information will disseminate. See step 1.
9) Download the Alexa.com toolbar. It will move this site up in the rankings each time you visit with the toolbar – that’s how Alexa tracks popularity.
10) Get involved. Join NCANS.net. Comment in the forums. Find your voice. Every one of us started out not really knowing or understanding what the issues were, or how to make a difference. Educate yourself. Knowledge is power. Once you know, you can never unknown, and knowledgeable people are good advocates for any cause. It’s your money, and your country. If you don’t help change things, they won’t change.
Make a difference. Get involved. And get busy.
