After some trial and error, it seems like we have a winner for the replacement for the Yahoo stock message boards.
www.Investorvillage.com appears to have a reasonably stable, responsive platform that most are accessing with no problems.
I would propose that anyone looking for an alternative to the virtually unusable Yahoo boards explore that site - NFI already has a very active board up, with most of the regulars now in attendance. There is no reason the other popular stocks, like OSTK and HANS and such, shouldn't be able to transition over, leaving 100% of the posts on Yahoo the work of paid bashers who apparently aren't compensated to post on other platforms.
That could change once their comp package is reviewed, but for now, there is a conspicuous absence of bashers working the IV forum.
Spread the word, folks - it's the people, not the platform, that makes for a community.
And for those easily amused by cartoons, I have commemorated Yahoo's equivalent to Custer's last stand - consider this my gift of laughter during a frustrating period.
